Mangaluru, 18th October, 2022: Direction, quality, lighting ratio, and control, Each of these elements contribute to the overall effect of our lighting and need to be considered when we design our lighting, said Mr. Adithya Kumar, Asst. Professor, Digital Film Making and VFX, Srinivas University on Tuesday. He was during the workshop on "Basic Lighting Techniques" organized by Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities of Srinivas University. He also explained about Art of Lighting, Lighting and colour can be used as visual tools to create meaning, and to create a sense of depth and three-dimensionality. Both help to establish mood and atmosphere and can highlight and define certain objects and characters to code a story. He added. Dr. Laveena D'mello, Dean of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities presided over the workshop, Asst. Professor Shreeraj S Acharya, Coordinator of the Workshop, Asst. Professor Joyson, Research Scholar Shivaraj were present in the workshop. Student Soumi introduced the Resource Person, Vidhya Sree welcomed the guest, Workshop was hosted by George, Vote of thanks was offered by Adithya. Students of the Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication were actively participated in the workshop.
