Study Tour 2023 - 2024 batch MSW - Day - 01

On March 4, 2024, during the first day of the study tour, at 9:00 AM, all students proceeded to Fathima Convent High School in Margao. They conducted a session, then commenced with Dr. Laveena Dmello, Professor, Department of Social Work, Institute of Management and Commerce. They introduced themselves and also conducted games for the school students. Following this, Ms. Rakshitha R. Salian and Ms. Thripthi Dinesh held a session on the topic of good touch and bad touch, focusing on personal safety. Subsequently, Ms. Nitha K. T., Ms. Azeema and Ms. Janisha conducted a one-hour session involving craft activities for the high school students. The next session involved around communication games, teaching students how to interact and develop communication skills. This session continued until 1:30 PM. As a result, the first and second MSW students returned to the hostel, marking the end of the half-day activities of the first-day study tour. Mr. Preem, Research scholar, Srinivas University and Fr. William were present.

Mangalore: Srinivas University, Department of Social Work (MSW), Institute of Management and Commerce organised a Workshop on 'Raw Data to Insight: SPSS Data Entry Techniques' on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Srinivas University City Campus, Pandeshwara. Sr. Vincy Joseph, Research Scholar at Srinivas University, was the resource person. The session consisted of a brief introduction and methods on how to do Data Entry in Excel and PowerPoint. Dr. Laveena Dmello, Professor, Department of Social Work and Prof. Joyson Prenky Cardoza, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work (MSW), Institute of Management and Commerce, were present. Student Mamatha welcomed the gathering, Dennise proposed the vote of thanks, and Aswanth compered the event. Both I and II MSW students were present.
