College of Social Sciences and Humanities, Srinivas University organised 'Orientation Programe' for the first year students of M.Sc (Psychology and Counseling) and M.S.W. students on 6th September, 2019. The Students were taken to Mangaljyothi Integrated School, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru. Mr. Ganesh Bhat, Administrator briefed about the services of the organisation. Students interacted with the staff and children of the school. 18 Students participated in the Programe. Dr. Vidhya N., Faculty of the Department was the convener of the visit.

ONE DAY NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MOBILITY, STABILITY & SUSTAINABILITY:CHALLENGES FOR SOCIAL SCIENCE, MANAGEMENT, IT & EDUCATION
The Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, Srinivas University has organised One day National Conference on the theme "Mobility, Stability and Sustainability: Challenges for Social Sciences, Management, IT & Education" on 5th October, 2019 at gallary hall of City Campus, Pandeshwar. Dr. K.V.M. Varambally, Former Director, Institute of Management, MAHE, Manipal has inaugurated the conference. The programme was presided over by Dr. P.S. Aithal, Vice Chancellor, Srinivas University. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Laveena D' Mello, Dean of Social Sciences and Humanities Department, Master of Ceremony was performed by Dr. Vidhya N, Coordinator, MSC Psychology and Counselling, Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mr. Gururaj, Research Scholar, Srinivas University and Mr. Pradeep M.D. Conference convener introduced the conference theme to the audience. 48 Scholarly papers are presented in the conference by faculties, students, research scholars. Post inaugural Key Note Address were delivered by Dr. Narayan Kayarkatte, Former Director, MSNM Beasant Institute of Post Graduate Studies, Mangalore, Dr. C. Kusumakara Hebbar, Retired Professor, Department of Commerce, University College, Hampankatta, Mangalore, Dr. P.K. Suresh Kumar, Retired Professor, MBA Department, Sridevi Institue of Technology during the conference.
