TRAINING PROGRAMME ON 'SELF DEFENCE'
In celebration of International Women's Day, College of Social Sciences and Humanities organised training programme on 'Self Defence' to the girls students of the Department on 9th March, 2020. Mr. Gururaj Itagi, Trainer, Itagi Foundation taught self defense techniques to the participants. Dr. Laveena D' Mello, Dean of the Department and Dr. Vidya N, Associate Professor of the Department also were present at the occasion.
WOMEN'S DAY CELEBRATION
College of Social Sciences and Humanities, Srinivas University, Mangaluru under the banner of Srinivas Institute of Rural Reconstruction Agency (SIRRA) organised Women Day Celebration at Munnur Panchayat, Kottar Padavu, Mangaluru. Mr. Gururaj Itagi, Director, Itagi's Foundation trained the participants in the 'Self Defence' and Dr. Vidya N, Associate Professor, College of Social Sciences and Humanities delivered lecture on 'Self Care' on 10th March, 2020. Around 65 residents of Munnar Panchayat participated and got benefited.
CANCER AWARENESS AND CHECK UP CAMP
College of Social Sciences and Humanities, Srinivas University under Srinivas Institute of Rural Reconstruction Agency (SIRRA) & Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Srinivas University in association with Indian Cancer Society, Bengaluru, Gram Panchayat, Cheliaru has Organised Free Cancer Awareness and Cancer Check-up Camp at Sabha Bhavana, Cheliaru Village near Surathkal, Karnataka on 8th March, 2020. The programme was inuagurate by the Mr. Jayanand, President, Panchayat and the representatives of the Cancer Society of India, CODP, Vivekananda Yuvaka Mandala and other local associations were present in the inaugural programme. The doctors of Father Mullars Charitable Hospital provided free medical check up to the patients and provided generic medicine to the needy. Almost, 98 people of Cheliaru village participated in the programme and got benefited.
