College of Social Sciences and Humanities, Srinivas University in collaboration with NIMHANS Institute of Mental Health and Neuro  Sciences, Bengaluru organised special lecture on " Tobacco Health & Mental Health Risk on 12th June, Saturday, 2021 at 11. a.m. through virtual mode. Dr. Shreedevi A.U., Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatric Social Work, NIMHANS delivered talk on "Tobacco and it impact on Health and Mental Health and Mr. Pradeep Kumar P.C. Ph.D Scholar, Department of Psychiatric Social Work & Project Supervisor, National Tobacco Quitline, NIMHANS, Bengaluru delivered lecture on 'Interventions to quit Tobacco and Related Products'. The programme was organised for the post graduate students of Social Work and Psychology courses. The programme was convened by Dr. Vidya N., Assistant Professor. The programme was presided by Dr. Laveena D' Mello, Dean of the College.

Programme Report 

College of Social Sciences and Humanities, Srinivas University, Karnataka has organised Virtual Conference on the theme “Reform, Perform and Transform: Challenges and Opportunities”  on 26th June, 2021. The Conference was inaugurated by Mr. Pradeep Ghorphade Director of Human Resources Sheraton Grand Bangalore- Marriott International. The inaugural session was Presided over by Sri. Dr. CA. A. Raghavendra Rao, Honourable Chancellor, Srinivas University. Dr. P.S. Aithal, Honourable Vice Chancellor & Dr. Laveena D’Mello, Dean of the College were the guests of Honour.  Severine Menezes, Director, Pauline Home Counselling, Mulki and Dr. Brijesh Singh Yadav, Head, School of Law, Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun delivered Technical Sessions respectively. 39 Research articles were presented by the academicians and research scholars across the States. The Conference was convened by Dr. Pradeep M.D. Assistant Professor of College of Social Sciences and Humanities.

ALUMNI GUEST LECTURE SERIES- 2021

 College of Social Sciences and Humanities has organised first lecture of Alumni Guest Lecture Series - 2021 9th June, Wednesday, 2021 at 5 p.m. virtually. on the Topic ' Career Avenues for MSW Graduates in Health and Education Sectors'. Mr. Abdul Khadar, Administrative Officer, Prasad Netralaya and Netra Jyothi Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Udupi was the resource person.  The lecture aimed at educating students on various job opportunities available especially in Health and Education Sector.
