Mangalore: Srinivas University, Institute of Management and Commerce, Department of Social Sciences and Humanities participated in the Srinivas Hospital Survey Programme from  18th to 21st June 2024 and 24th to 29th June 2024 and 1st July 2024 at Shasihithlu, Thokur Pakshikere, Subramanaya Nagara Pakshikere, and Shanthi Nagar Kinnigoli, Jarige Katte, Mundkur, Sankala-Kariya, Karkala, Kopalkrishna Nagar, Mudraguthu, Kateelu, Soorinje, Gidikere, Ullanje, Shibarooru, Kodethoor, Madya, Sardar Patel Road, Aranthabettu, Katipalla, Shibaroor,Batta Kodi, Panja. Placement Preparation Workshop at Srinivas University



Mangalore: Srinivas University, Institute of Management and Commerce, Department of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a "Placement Preparation" Workshop on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Srinivas University City Campus, Pandeshwara. The event featured Prof. Venkatesh Amin, Dean of the Institute of Management and Commerce, Srinivas University, Dr. Senthil Kumar, Professor at the Institute of Management and Commerce, Srinivas University, Prof. Shwetha Pai, Placement & Training Head at Srinivas University, and Prof. Meghana Salins, Placement Officer at the Institute of Management and Commerce, Srinivas University, as the resource persons. The workshop included sessions on Aptitude Tests, Practical Face-to-Face Interviews, CV Analysis, and preparation for stress interviews. Additionally, psychological testing was conducted, featuring a cube-building concept. Specialisation Testing was held in six groups, each consisting of three members, on the topic of the Bhopal disaster. A group discussion was also conducted on "Women are not equal to men but they are superior." Dr. Laveena D. Mello, Professor, Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, and Prof. Joyson Prenky Cardoza, HoD and Programme Convener, Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, were present. Student Sameeksha P. welcomed the gathering, Abdul Azeem proposed the vote of thanks, and Anusree compered the event.

Report on National Conference

“INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN HIGHER EDUCATION (ITHE)” Srinivas University Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities organised a one-day National Level Conference with the theme “INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN HIGHER EDUCATION (ITHE)” on 28th June, 2023 at Srinivas University City Campus, Pandeshwara, Mangalore. Chief Guest of the program Prof. Mohamedunni Alias Musthafa, Professor & Head of the Department of Education at the Central University of Kerala, addressed the gathering and emphasized the significant role of technology in today's education. He highlighted including artificial intelligence (AI) in education, noting that AI can address doubts and provide answers efficiently. However, he also acknowledged that AI cannot perceive human emotions. Prof. Musthafa further emphasized that education systems are evolving and adapting to the changing times, driven by the influence of technology. In his presidential address, Dr. P.S. Aithal, the Vice Chancellor of Srinivas University, emphasized the significance of utilizing technology in the learning process, stating that there are no age or profession restrictions when it comes to studying. Furthermore, he envisioned a future where technological advancements might enable machines to discern and comprehend human
emotions. The abstract and the proceedings of the last conference was released in this conference. Dr. Vidya N., the Associate Professor and Conference Coordinator, along with Assistant Professors Prof. Joyson Prenky Cardoza, Prof. Sushmitha, Prof. Prajna B., and the MSW students were present at the conference. The event saw active participation from 60 individuals, and a total of 47 research papers were presented. Dr. Laveena D mello, Professor and IQAC Coordinator of Srinivas University, warmly welcomed the gathering, Prof. Venkatesh Amin, Dean of the Institute of Management and Commerce, delivered the vote of thanks.
