The Institute of Management and Commerce, Department of Social Sciences and Humanities at Srinivas University, Mangalore, organized a Fresher’s Day on 11th December 2024 to welcome the newly admitted 1st MSW (Master of Social Work) students. The event aimed to foster a sense of belonging among the students and mark the beginning of an exciting academic journey.
The session
was honored by the presence of Dr. Venkatesh S. Amin, Dean, Institute of
Management and Commerce. along with him, Prof. Joyson, Head of the Department,
and Prof. Dr. Laveena D Mello, Professor, Associate Professor-Dr.Vidya. Prof..Ranjith
bhat were present. Dr Venketesh Amin had given motivational speech to students,
while Dr. Laveena DMello and Prof.Joyson Head of the department given speech
regarding welfare of the students.
The program
began with a soulful prayer led by Ms. Nidhi setting a positive tone for the
event. The session was compered gracefully by Mr. Athira Shaji and Ms. Nikita
who ensured the smooth flow of the event. A warm welcome address was delivered
by Ms. Nasir extending greetings to the dignitaries, faculty, and students present.
The cultural
event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Athira Shaji expressing
gratitude to the dignitaries, organizers, and students for their participation
and contributions to making the event successful.
