Mangaluru, 29th August, 2022: Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities and Institute of Computer Science and Information Sciences of Srinivas University has organised workshop on Ad, PR and Brand Management. Ms. Shrigouri Joshi, Assistant Professor, Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham was the resource person. Advertising, Public Relations are like two faces of the same coin. Advertising presents the goods and services from the producer to the consumers. Public relations help an organization and its public to adapt mutually to each other said the resource person during the event. In her session, she stressed about PR can be used for improving, building and protecting brand reputation. Advertising is a component of marketing. Marketing involves identifying customer needs and figuring out how to meet those needs while advertising promotes a business and its products or services through paid channels she added. She carried a practical work to teach students about brand management. Dr. Pradeep M.D. Associate Professor of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities presided over the workshop. Professor Subramanya Bhat, Dean of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Sciences, Shreeraj S Acharya, Coordinator of the Workshop, Prof. Meghashree, Assitant Professor and Mrs. Sushmitha, Assistant Professor and Mr. Harissorya, Research Scholar were present in the occasion.
Ms. Gayathri, has introduced the resource person, Keerthi delivered the welcome address, the workshop was hosted by Ms. Vidya Sree and a Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Adithya. Students of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication, B.Sc Animation, DFM and VFX, Bachelor of Social Work, Film Making Courses have attended the event.
