19th-May-REPORT ON INDUSTRIAL VISIT-KALBHAVI CASHEW FACTORY

 An Industrial Visit to Kalbavi Cashew Factory was organized on 19th May 2026 for the Final-Year Master of Social Work (MSW) students of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC), Srinivas University. The visit was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Dean Dr. Venkatesh S. Amin, IMC, and Prof. Joyson Prenky Cardosa, Head of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities. The programme was coordinated by Prof. Ranjith Bhat C., Industrial Visit Coordinator. The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to industrial operations, labour welfare practices, workplace management, and the functioning of a cashew processing industry.During the visit, the students were given a comprehensive tour of the factory and were introduced to various stages involved in cashew processing, including cleaning, steaming, shelling, peeling, grading, quality control, packaging, and marketing. Factory officials explained the production process, safety measures, employee welfare facilities, and quality standards maintained by the organization. Students also interacted with workers and management personnel, gaining valuable insights into labour management, occupational health and safety, working conditions, and the role of social work professionals in industrial settings. The visit helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of industrial social work and labour welfare administration.The Industrial Visit proved to be an enriching learning experience, enabling students to understand the realities of industrial operations and human resource management. The Department expresses its sincere gratitude to the management and staff of Kalbavi Cashew Factory for their cooperation and informative guidance. 16th-May-2026-FILMIX-Cultural Day Program

The Cultural Day Program "FLIMIX" was successfully organized on 16th May 2026 by the First Year and Final Year MSW students of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, Srinivas University. The event aimed to celebrate cultural diversity, promote creativity, strengthen interpersonal relationships among students, and provide a platform to showcase their talents. The program featured a variety of cultural performances, including dance, music, drama, and other entertaining activities, which reflected the rich cultural heritage and enthusiasm of the students. The event was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Venkatesh S. Amin, Dean, and Prof. Joyson Prenky Cardoza, Head of the Department of Social Science and Humanities, IMC, whose constant encouragement and support contributed significantly to the success of the program. The Cultural Day was coordinated by Dr. Stutima Basista, cultural coordinator, who played a vital role in planning and organizing the event. The program also received valuable support and cooperation from Dr. Laveena D’Mello and Prof. Ranjith Bhat, whose efforts helped ensure the smooth execution of all activities. Students actively participated in the celebrations, displaying remarkable talent, teamwork, and enthusiasm. 14th-May-2026-TOPIC-EMPOWERING FUTURE SOCIAL WORK PROFESSIONALS!

The Department of Social Sciences & Humanities, Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC), Srinivas University, successfully organized a one-day workshop on “Building Career Visibility, LinkedIn Presence & AI-Powered Portfolios for MSW Students.” on 14th-May-2026.The workshop aimed to equip students with essential digital career-building skills and enhance their professional readiness in today's rapidly evolving, AI-driven world.The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Venkatesh S. Amin, Dean, IMC, and Prof. Joyson Prenky Cardoza, Head of the Department, Social Sciences & Humanities, IMC. The event was further supported by Dr. Stutima Basistha, Dr. Laveena D'Mello, and Prof. Ranjith Bhat, whose active participation contributed to the success of the workshop.The resource person for the session was Prof. Hansel Rego, Assistant Professor, Department of B.Com, Srinivas University. He delivered an insightful and engaging session on developing a strong professional identity, effectively utilizing LinkedIn for networking and career advancement, and creating AI-powered portfolios to showcase skills and achievements. His practical guidance enabled students to understand the importance of personal branding, digital presence, and emerging AI tools in shaping successful careers.The workshop inspired students to become career-ready professionals by enhancing their employability skills, strengthening their online professional presence, and preparing them to meet the demands of the modern workplace. The interactive nature of the session encouraged active participation and provided students with valuable strategies for professional growth and career development.The workshop concluded successfully with positive feedback from the participants, who found the session highly informative, practical, and relevant to their future career aspirations.












9th May 2026-REPORT OF INDUSTRIAL VISIT

The Department of Social Work, Srinivas University, organized an industrial visit to Gurucharan Industries for 1st-year MSW students on 9th May 2026. The visit provided valuable practical exposure to industrial functioning, labor welfare practices, workplace safety, and organizational management. This industrial visit is conducted under the guidance of Dean Dr. Venkatesh S. Amin, Prof. Joyson Preky Cardoza, HOD,epartment of social science and humanities.IMC.Dr. Laveena, and Prof. Ranjith Bhat. Students gained real-time insights into industrial social work, employee welfare, and labor management practices. A meaningful learning experience bridging classroom knowledge with industrial reality.
