16t-June-2026-1 Day Worksop on AI + EDUCATION-THE NEW ERA OF LEARNING FOR MSW STUDENTS

 

The Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC), Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, Srinivas University, Mangalore, organized a one-day workshop titled “AI + Education: The New Era of Learning for MSW Students.” The workshop was designed to introduce Master of Social Work (MSW) students to the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in modern education and professional practice. The event aimed to enhance students’ understanding of emerging technologies and their application in learning, research, assessment, and career development. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Venkatesha B.M., Associate Professor and Research Guide, Department of MBA, Institute of Management and Commerce, Srinivas University. During the session, he highlighted the growing significance of AI in education, emphasizing concepts such as adaptive learning, intelligent tutoring systems, data-driven insights, automation, personalized education, and e-learning platforms. The speaker explained how AI can support students in improving academic performance, research efficiency, and professional competencies while preparing them for future workplace demands. The workshop was scheduled on 16 June 2026 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the Conference Room, Srinivas Hospital. The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Venkatesh S. Amin, Dean, IMC, and Prof. Joyson Prenky Cardoza, Head of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, IMC. Through presentations, discussions, and practical insights, participants gained awareness of AI-powered tools that can enhance learning experiences, improve career visibility, strengthen LinkedIn presence, and support the creation of AI-powered portfolios. Overall, the workshop served as an informative platform for MSW students to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and education. It successfully encouraged participants to embrace technological advancements and develop future-ready skills necessary for academic excellence and professional growth in the digital era.
