Puttur, Feb 23: Srinivas University College of Social Sciences and Humanities organized one day study tour to Puttur on Wednesday February 23. Students visited Puttur Dumping yard waste management centre. Associate Professor, Dr. Rajesh Bejangala informed about the way of managing waste at the dump yard such as the process of segregating wet waste and dry waste collected from the locality. Students then visited Prajna residential home at Beeramale Puttur. Students interacted with children suffering from down syndrome. The caretaker of Prajna residential home Annayya informed about the children at the children at the centre and the funds the centre get. She gave information about the bio gas at the residential home. College of Social Science and Humanities Associate Professors Dr. Vidya, Professor Joyson Prenky Cardoza, Sushmitha, Shriraj, Research scholars Sara Zeena D’Almeida, Indu Nair and students of MSW, BSW and BA Journalism and Mass communication were part of the study tour.
