COOKING WITHOUT FIRE COMPETITION
On July 15, 2024, the
Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC) Department of Social Sciences and
Humanities (SSH) hosted a series of competitions for Bachelor of Social Work
(BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) students. Among the various events, the
"Cooking without Fire" competition stood out, drawing significant
interest and participation. Six enthusiastic teams showcased their culinary
creativity and skills, adhering to the unique challenge of preparing dishes
without the use of fire. The competitions were meticulously organized under the
expert guidance of Dr. Venkatesh Amin, Dean of IMC, Prof. Joyson, Head of the
Department (HOD) of SSH, IMC, Dr. Laveena Dmello, a respected Professor at SSH,
IMC, and Dr. Vidya N., an Associate Professor at SSH, IMC. The judging panel,
comprising Prof. Sharan and Prof. Roopesh from the Institute of Hotel
Management and Tourism, lent their expertise to evaluate the innovative dishes
prepared by the teams. Their seasoned judgment ensured a fair and insightful
assessment, highlighting the participants' creativity and adherence to the
competition's constraints. The event was a testament to the collaborative
spirit and the emphasis on practical learning at IMC, fostering a vibrant and
engaging educational environment for the students.
