Srinivas University, Institute of Management and Commerce, Department of Social
Sciences and Humanities organized an "Introduction to Gerontological
Social Work" Alumni Guest Talk on Tuesday, Nov 5, 2024, at Srinivas
University City Campus, Pandeshwara. The event featured Mr. Jeevan, Project
Coordinator of "SAARTHAK," a community-based initiative for the
mental well-being of the elderly by Help Age India, in collaboration with the
National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, as the resource person.
The Alumni guest talk included sessions on challenges faced in the workplace
and how to build a career after completing MSW. This program was conducted
under the guidance of Dr. Venkatesh S. Amin, Dean, Institute of Management and
Commerce, and Prof. Joyson Cardoza, HOD, SSH-IMC. Dr. Laveena DMello,
Professor, Dr. Vidya N, Associate Professor, and Prof. Ranjith Bhat were
present. Student Namitha welcomed the gathering, Afra proposed the vote of
thanks, and Rakshitha compered the event.
