On 25th February 2025, the Master of Social Work (MSW) students from the Department of Social Science and Humanities under the Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC) organized their Department Cultural Fest with the theme 'Masquerade Mystique'. The word "Masquerade" signifies a social gathering where individuals wear masks and costumes, while "Mystique" represents an aura of mystery and attraction.
The event was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Venkatesh S. Amin, Dean of IMC, Prof. Joyson Cardoza, Head of the Department of Social Science and Humanities, Dr. Laveena D'Mello, Dr. Stutima Basistha, Cultural Coordinator and Prof. Ranjit Bhat. The occasion was further graced by Dr. Shilashree, Research Coordinator, IMC,Srinivas University as the chief guest. Chief Guest’s inspiring words and encouragement added immense value to the students of both first and second-year MSW.
The program commenced with an official welcome, followed by the lighting of the lamp ceremony, faculty speeches, and a prize distribution ceremony. A variety of engaging performances and competitions were conducted by the students, including an on-the-spot ramp walk competition, singing performances, and dance events. The faculty members also showcased their talent through special performances, making the event even more memorable. Additionally, faculties from other departments attended the event, adding to its grandeur and significance.
