Srinivas University Institute of Management and Commerce Organizes Blood Donation Camp
Mangalore: The NSS Unit of Srinivas University Institute of Management and Commerce, in collaboration with Pranava Sawharada Sahakari Niyamitha Society and Srinivas Hospital, organized a blood donation camp on January 24, 2025, at the Pandeshwar Campus.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Venkatesh Amin, Dean of the Institute of Management and Commerce. G. R. Prasad, President of Pranava Sawharada Sahakari Niyamitha Society, highlighted the importance of blood donation as a life-saving act. Vice President G. Prashanth Pai emphasized its role in purifying the body, encouraging more people to donate.
Mr. Somappa Nayak, Director of Pranava Sawharada Sahakari Niyamitha Society, and Dr. Madhukar, Medical Officer of Srinivas Hospital, also addressed the gathering and underscored the significance of voluntary blood donation.
Faculty members, including Prof. Joyson Prenky Cardoza, HoD MSW, Prof. Sushmitha S. Kotian, HoD BAJMC, Dr. Stutima Basistha, and Prof. Shilpa, HoD BBA, Dr. Shravya, Dr. Aparna were present at the event. The program was compered by Prof. Prajna Odilnala.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various institutions, collecting a total of 60 units of blood.
